Psychedelic Studio w/ Nancy Hunter, LSW

We have an exciting new creativity program called the Psychedelic Studio, designed to help journeyers expound on their psychedelic experiences beyond pencil and paper. In this workshop, hosted by Nancy Hunter, LSW, we will commune with like-minded folks in a casual, social setting with intentional artistic activities and an open heart.

Join us on Saturday, July 23rd, from 1-3 PM to get your thoughts "out of your head and into your hands." We will be gathering at Art Therapy Place on 16 Cypress Avenue in Ridgewood to paint, draw, sketch, and collage our most profound encounters with psychedelics in a supportive setting. All art materials are provided.

All too often, many of us experience great insight following a psychedelic adventure only to struggle to find a safe, supportive, non-judgmental environment to share and explore. The Psychedelic Studio is that safe space. And we encourage you to bring your trip journals, integration questions, and any experiences you'd like to examine through various art mediums.

As a new venture, feedback is highly encouraged. Your needs and wants are at the forefront, and we'd like to serve you as best as possible. That way, the Psychedelic Studio has an opportunity to expand in ways that we all need during these challenging and uncertain times.

*This program is a psychedelics-positive space, and we invite you to practice love, compassion, empathy, and acceptance when creating, sharing, and holding space for others. Though we will not be ingesting psychedelics during the workshop, participants are permitted to assist their creativity with Cannabis throughout the session.

Nancy Hunter, LSW (she/her) As a 9-11 survivor, Nancy has a keen understanding of the complexities associated with severe trauma and has sought to turn her pain into purpose by becoming a Licensed Social Worker. She is comfortable sitting with people's dis-ease and has devoted her life to helping others suffering from trauma, anxiety, and depression with the sensitivity, compassion, and professionalism needed to be effective.

Nancy is a curious and enthusiastic psychonaut and has been a lifelong explorer of altered states of consciousness, including personal experiences with sacred plant medicine such as Ibogaine, Ayahuasca, Peyote, Psilocybin, and San Pedro, as well as synthetic medicines including LSD and MDMA.
