Sister Circle: Healing While Black @ Gaia Nomaya

Our womxn's integration support circles aim to create a safe space to share our psychedelic experiences openly and hold space in support of each other.

The February 15th theme, "Healing while Black," is a play on the phrase 'Driving while Black.' A phrase that resonates with those familiar with the cognitive dissonance of being a law-abiding citizen while simultaneously being seen as a criminal for the color of their skin or cultural values. This theme aims to open a dialogue about the real-life risks and anxieties surrounding the African-American diaspora embarking on ancestral healing through psychedelics while the War on Drugs Policy is still heavy upon us.

We will discuss:

• The Black Diaspora
• Anti-colonialism / Anti-imperialism
• Psychedelic Ancestral Healing
• Naturalism + Indigenous Wisdom
• Breaking Generational Cycles
• Updates on The 'War on Drugs' Policy

** Though the theme will emphasize the black narrative, we welcome allies and all cultures into the conversation. Let's get into it!

We will be gathering at Gaia Nomaya's wellness cafe bi-weekly Wednesdays from 7-8:30 PM for an in-person discussion about psychedelics, journey exploration, and mental health. As thanks for allowing us to gather in their space, we ask that everyone purchase refreshments from the cafe. Gaia Nomaya recently partnered with the amazing Palenque organic Colombian restaurant and serves dinner, apps, cocktails & mocktails, Devocion coffee, fresh juices, smoothies, and teas.
