Smoke N' Swap @ Hemp Lab NYC

The sun is still shining, and we're looking for more reasons to be outside!

If you're feeling like us, then you're ready to declutter your closets and find some cute, cozy knitwear to set you up for the fall weather.

On Sunday, September 17th, from 1-4 pm, bring your gently worn clothing and join us at our Smoke N' Swap event!

"WTF is a Smoke N' Swap," you ask?

It's our answer to moving into a more sustainable, community-based consumer relationship with fashion. We're encouraging folks to update their wardrobe by swapping preloved items in support of a circular economic model versus buying-and-trashing. Oh yeah, and you'll get a complimentary pre-roll, courtesy of Hemp Lab, for your participation.

Join us and others in reducing the consumption of raw materials by recycling gently worn items and giving them a second life. Look at you saving the planet!

We'll be set up in Hemp Lab's back patio at 128 India Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, to help you gift, trade, and swap your preloved items. We'll have 2-3 racks for hanging clothing + multiple tables for folded items. Please be sure to bring hangers.

**Please note the back patio is not wheelchair accessible.

**There will be no selling or exchanging of money for items at this event. Please be kind and contribute by bringing a few pre-loved items to donate. Every ticket lets you swap/take home as many items as you want!

What to bring to swap/trade

- Sweaters + Cardigans

- Tops

- Bottoms

- Shoes

- Light jackets

- BYOB Hangers

Don't forget to bring ~

- A reusable tote bag

- A friend

- Sunny disposition

Your ticket includes as many items as you can fit in your tote bag, and a complimentary pre-roll.

We gently discourage bringing your own recreations but encourage buying from Hemplab's menu.

Whatever isn't taken will be donated to Collective Focus - A donation-based artist collective operating a resource hub on the border of Bed-Stuy and Bushwick.
