Who We Are

The Psychedelic Sisterhood is a BIPOC-founded, womxn-led nonprofit devoted to nurturing a safe, supportive community for women-identifying and non-binary persons. Together, we explore altered states, reconnect with the divine feminine, and embrace the power of ancestral healing. Through alternative wellness practices, we honor radical self-acceptance and foster personal growth. We hold sacred spaces to share our journeys, integrate wisdom, and inspire healing ♡

Pammy Jackson (she/her) is an impassioned Executive Director and dedicated community leader, orchestrating transformative initiatives in the heart of Brooklyn. Leading The Psychedelic Sisterhood, a dynamic womxn-led community fostering growth and empowerment, she's curated sacred spaces honoring the spiritual and therapeutic merit of altered states of consciousness. With over three years of visionary leadership, Pammy has cultivated a diverse range of offerings, including social events, panel discussions, and a compelling podcast.

 

Prior to founding The Psychedelic Sisterhood, Pammy began her healing journey with psychedelics in 2015 after a transformative spiritual awakening with Ayahuasca. It was at this time she was set on a path of self-discovery and service to others through plant medicine. Pammy strives to build The Psychedelic Sisterhood from a heart-centered scope that serves womxn's holistic health, cultivates the balancing of the divine feminine, and encourages acceptance, allowance, and trust in the journey.

 

Pammy is the Founder and Executive Director of The Psychedelic Sisterhood, the Co-President of New Yorkers for Mental Health Alternatives (NYMHA), the Events Co-Lead for the Global Psychedelic Society, a founding member of the New York Psilocybin Action Committee (NYPAC), and a participating member of the Brooklyn Psychedelic Society.

Board of Directors

Patty Palacios (she/her) was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, and became a resident of New York as a teenager. She graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Advertising Design but fell in love with fashion. She has worked in the children's apparel industry for 13 years as a graphic designer and later moved on as Print Director for a growing Junior Brand. When Patricia isn't spending time with her loving family, watching Marvel movies, and eating good food, she's advocating for the freedom to enjoy psychedelics safely.

Paige "Hawk" Acevedo (she/they) is a charismatic & multidimensional artist professional with over ten years of culminated experience in theatrical/musical/visual production arts and education with a profound ability to connect, develop, and impact audiences.

​

Presently, Hawk serves as CEO and lead vocalist for Hawk & Ace, a live music entertainment collective founded in 2018. Hawk is also a Teaching Artist of dramaturgy & photography. They serve as the secretary for the Yaya Guaili Ara Yukayeke, a tribe of Arawak-Indigenous Descendants committed to the liberation and reclamation of indigenous culture and livelihood. In 2020, with the support of other community leaders, Hawk co-founded Riders for Rights, a grassroots organization committed to the work for black liberation. In 2019, she co-led the Performing Arts Legacy Project at HB Studio, an initiative hosted by the Actor’s Fund & Research Center for Arts and Culture, aiming to support seasoned professional artists to document their legacies. From 2014 to 2019 she served as Artistic Director of a youth community theater program in Williamsburg, Brooklyn known as the Pompeii Players, organizing and directing theatrical productions dedicated to supporting local minority youth & teens.

Jinyen Carew (she/her) was born and raised in New Jersey by way of entrepreneurial-focused immigrant parents. She completed a BFA at The Fashion Institute of Technology in Packaging Design - focusing on product development, marketing, and event planning. When she's not creating happiness in the design and marketing space, she's a mother to two little girls and one hundred percent giving her all to her dreamy husband and business partner, Chris.

 

Jinyen's words to live by: "Live your f*ckin life! And years of amazing journeys, adventures, and magical moments will follow!"
